Monica New Book 'Tora Rose and The Trouble with Teeth' will be on sale soon

The standing explanation is that the tooth fairy comes in the middle of the night and waves her magic wand, which is very nice of her, particularly as coins can be very useful if you save them up. You might be able to buy something really nice to eat or a toy. You certainly couldn’t do this with a tooth could you? BUT the question remains: Why does the tooth fairy want it? What possible use is it to her?

Bring on the research muscle

MONICA Ellis can't smile but she hasn't lost her ability to laugh. At age five, Ellis was diagnosed with a form of muscular dystrophy known as facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy, a disease characterised by progressive muscle weakness and loss of skeletal muscles.

Symptoms usually begin in the face, upper arms and back, which is where the name comes from. As the disease progresses, other muscle groups can be affected.
